Grandparent's Day 2018

Our Preschool Classrooms

Our 2016 Cardinals (5 year olds) eating a freshly made, yummy snack!
Our Preschool Classrooms

As a preschooler (3, 4, and 5 year olds), I come into school anxious to see my friends. I am greeted at the door with everyone knowing my name and wanting to know how I am today. Sometimes I am shy and other days I say ‘hi’ back to them.

I always have a lot of choices at my school and it begins when I enter my classroom. My teacher tells me ‘good morning’ and I ask ‘what’s for breakfast?'

Before and after I eat I use the bathroom and my teacher reminds me to wash my hands. After breakfast, before lunch, and after nap I go outside to play. There are basketball hoops, bikes, and a climbing structure. I love to run and play.

If I have any problems I go to my teacher and she helps me to share with my friends or she reminds me what to say to them when I forget. I go outside many times a day.

Inside my classroom, I have a lot of choices for activities. My teacher is getting me ready for kindergarten. I like art, dramatic play, language, the writing center, science, social studies, math, blocks, computer, and books. I have Music and Spanish every week. Sometimes my teacher gives me activities to do and other times I walk around and choose what I want to play.

Each day I learn more about friends and what it means to be someone’s friend.

When mom and dad pick me up I say good-bye to all my friends and I hope to see them again the next day. On the way home I talk about my day and all the fun I had at school.
