Our History

Established in 1983, Elaine Rosi Academy for Children (formerly Martha Rounds) is a family owned and operated preschool with over 21 years of dedication and experience. . .

The Academy started in 1983 by Martha Rounds, a Saint Louis business women dedicated to bringing a caring, personal and developmental approach to childcare. Originally the center functioned out of two converted school buildings, one in Brentwood and the other in Glendale. In 1989 both locations were consolidated into its present address at 8900 Manchester Road in Brentwood.

Elaine Rosi was hired by Martha Rounds as director of The Academy in 2001, and in September 2002 Elaine and Richard Rosi purchased the school. In 2005, Elaine Rosi Academy for Children opened its second location in Wildwood. Today as then, the Elaine Rosi Academy for Children has the reputation of being one of Saint Louis' most reputable private schools.

Elaine Rosi has always believed in life long learning. Her goals strive to establish patterns and expectations of success for children. She has created a nurturing environment in which teachers use various educational methods to encourage creativity, awaken individual interests and foster children's love towards self and others.
