Infant Classrooms

A Day in the Life of an Infant at Elaine Rosi Academy for Children. . .

Infant Classrooms (6 weeks to 12 months)

As an infant my day begins with a greeting from my teacher that includes numerous hugs and kisses. I enter my play area and choose between eating breakfast, looking at a book, selecting a toy, or sitting in a bouncy seat or a swing to watch my friends.

Throughout my day I have many choices of activities provided by my teacher or of my own selection. These include art, music and movement, reading stories, sensory activities, and dress-up.

My teachers spend a lot of time with me by showing me how to eat, comforting me for nap, (which is in a separate room right next to my regular room), helping me stay dry and clean, and teaching me how to move around my play area with my friends.

At the end of the day mommy and daddy pick me up and we talk, (they sometimes don’t understand very well), about my day as they read my daily report filled out by my teacher.
