Toddler Two Classrooms
A Day in the Life of a Two year old at Elaine Rosi Academy for Children. . .
Toddler Two Classrooms (24 months to 36 months)
I am so happy to be a two year old. My classroom is bigger and I have friends that I remember from when I was really little. My teachers say ‘hi’ to me every morning and when I walk into my classroom there are special activities for me to do out on the tables. My class eats breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria but before we go we wash our hands. The cafeteria is a big place where a lot of children eat at the same time. I like to watch and do things the older children do like clean off my tray.
I just want you to know that we spend a lot of time in the toddler two bathrooms. My teacher says I will learn how to go potty on my own this year and this takes a lot of practice. Mommy and daddy tell me that this is a good thing and that they are happy about this change so it must be true.
I go outside many times a day and ‘wow I’m on the big kid playground now’. There is so much room to run. Inside my classroom my teacher reads me stories, I paint pictures, I build with the blocks, and I am learning my letters and numbers, and music everyday.
I am always tired after lunch so I lay down on my cot and I fall asleep while I listen to quiet songs. When I wake up I eat a snack and play until mom and dad pick me up. I tell them about my day and they tell me about theirs.
