"Our experience with your school has been nothing less than extraordinary. In a
two-income household, our choice for a preschool was, for us, critical and painstaking.
That we had one or both children attending full time over the past nine years speaks to
our belief that the Academy is the best pre-school program in the St. Louis area.
Our ‘investment’ in the school has helped produce two well balanced, alert, polite, and
Kindergarten-ready children."

Pre-kindergarten Classrooms
A Day in the Life of a Pre-Kindergartener at Elaine Rosi Academy for Children. . .
Pre-kindergarten Classrooms (3, 4, and 5 year olds)
As a preschooler I come into school anxious to see my friends. I am greeted at the door with everyone knowing my name and wanting to know how I am today. Sometimes I am shy and other days I say ‘hi’ back to them.
I always have a lot of choices at my school and it begins when I enter my classroom. My teacher tells me ‘good morning’ and I ask what’s for breakfast. We go to eat in the cafeteria where there are a lot of children from my class and other classrooms. I can eat or choose to read a book. I eat breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria and snack in my classroom.
Before and after I eat I use the bathroom and my teacher reminds me to wash my hands. After breakfast, before lunch, and after nap I go outside to play. There are swings, a sandbox, bikes, and climbing structures. I love to run and play.
If I have any problems I go to my teacher and she helps me to share with my friends or she reminds me what to say to them when I forget. I go outside many times a day.
Inside my classroom I have a lot of choices for activities. My teacher is getting me ready for kindergarten. I like art, dramatic play, language, the writing center, science, social studies, math, blocks, computer, and books. I have music everyday and Spanish one time a week. Sometimes my teacher gives me activities to do and other times I walk around and choose what I want to play.
Each day I learn more about friends and what it means to be someone’s friend.
When mom and dad pick me up I say good-bye to all my friends and I hope to see them again the next day. On the way home I talk about my day and all the fun I had at school.
